The two policewomen who were abducted some two weeks ago in Sulu by suspected Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) members were recovered Saturday and were formally turned over to President Duterte in Davao City. The two PNP elements were recovered with the assistance of Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) chair Nur Misuari, who was reportedly personally requested earlier by the President to help in their safe return. Cesar Montano on Monday formally resigned as the chief operating officer (COO) of the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) amid allegations of corruption.
