The Philippine and Kuwaiti governments on Friday afternoon (Kuwait time) finally signed the “Agreement on the Employment of Domestic Workers” at the Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano and Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah signed the document on behalf of the two states. Duterte admin satisfaction rating drops, but still ‘very good’ : SWS

The public satisfaction of President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration dropped in the first quarter of 2018, according to the latest Social Weather Stations survey. The administration scored a net satisfaction rating of +58. It showed a 12-point decline from the +70 in the last quarter of 2017 when the Duterte administration exceeded the record set by his predecessor. Duterte issues EO 54, raising total disability pension, other EC benefits

President Duterte has issued Executive Order No. 54 increasing employees’ compensation (EC) benefits in the private sector and carer’s allowance in the public sector. Under the order signed last May 8, the President approved a P1,150 across-the-board increase in EC monthly disability pension of all permanent disability pensioners and qualified beneficiaries in the private sector.
